IT-Savvy Student Who Developed Provincial Apps Missing Since November 2025

A promising information technology student from Andalas University in Padang, identified as Ryan, has been missing since November 2025. Ryan, who was known for his academic achievements and for creating applications for the West Sumatra provincial government, disappeared mysteriously from his home.

His mother, Ade Melriza, recounted that Ryan left their home around 2 a.m. on November 17, 2025. She only realized he was gone when she woke up and found his room empty and the front door unlocked. Family members confirmed he had not informed anyone of his plans.

Adding to the family's distress, Ryan's personal belongings, including his laptop, mobile phone, wallet with cash, and identification, were found neatly placed on his desk. This discovery heightened their concerns about his well-being.

During the widespread floods that affected parts of West Sumatra and Sumatra in November 2025, Ryan's parents feared he might be among the victims. They submitted DNA samples at the Bhayangkara Hospital for identification purposes, but no match was found. The university has also been involved in the search efforts, but Ryan has yet to be located.
