Meanwhile, the situation has drawn criticism from the United States. Former President Donald Trump labeled the events in Ceuta a "catastrophe," attributing the influx of migrants to permissive immigration laws and poor management. He described the scenes as "terrible" and used them as an electoral argument against the Democratic Party. U.S. Vice President JD Vance echoed these sentiments, calling the situation an "unfortunate illustration of the consequences of mass migration."
