South Korean singer and actress IU has announced the postponement of her upcoming September concerts and the release of her sixth full-length album. The decision stems from a worsening of her Eustachian tube dysfunction, a condition affecting her ear.

Recently, my chronic Eustachian tube dysfunction has worsened. I've been managing it, but weather changes seem to have affected it.

IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, released a statement explaining that the singer's ear condition has deteriorated to a point where performing live is no longer feasible. Prioritizing her health, the agency and IU have decided to reschedule the planned concerts in Goyang and adjust the timeline for the new album release.

Our company and IU have judged that her current condition makes it difficult to proceed with performances. After careful discussion prioritizing her health, we decided to adjust the concert schedule and the release schedule for her 6th full album.

While the condition is not severe enough to impede daily activities, IU conveyed through a fan platform that the postponement is intended to ensure she can present her best performance to her fans. She acknowledged the chronic nature of her Eustachian tube dysfunction and mentioned that recent weather changes may have exacerbated her symptoms. The agency has pledged full support for her recovery, aiming for her swift return to the stage in good health.
