İYİ Party Mardin Kızıltepe District Chairman Fahrettin Cevheroğlu released after detention

Fahrettin Cevheroğlu, the district chairman for the İYİ Party in Kızıltepe, Mardin, has been released following his detention.

The incident occurred on August 13th in the Turgut Özal neighborhood of Kızıltepe. According to allegations, Muhammed Nakşioğlu's home was raided by a group of approximately 20 individuals, including Cevheroğlu, his children, and other relatives. The group reportedly entered the property by climbing over the gate.

During the altercation, Muhammed Nakşioğlu was allegedly beaten. The events were captured on the home's security cameras, which showed the group entering the courtyard and assaulting Nakşioğlu. Following the incident, Nakşioğlu was taken to the hospital by emergency medical teams. After receiving medical treatment, he obtained a medical report and filed a criminal complaint at the police station, submitting the security camera footage as evidence.

As part of the investigation into the incident, Fahrettin Cevheroğlu was taken into custody. After undergoing questioning at the police headquarters, Cevheroğlu was subsequently released. The investigation into the events is ongoing.
