Iyinoluwa Aboyeji Resigns as Learn Africa Non-Executive Director

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji has resigned as a non-executive director of Learn Africa Plc, Nigeria’s largest educational publisher, effective Sept. 7.

Learn Africa disclosed the resignation in a regulatory filing signed by DCSL Corporate Services, the company secretary. The publisher praised Aboyeji’s service and strategic guidance, saying they had contributed to the company’s growth in educational technology.

“The Board expresses its sincere gratitude for his dedicated service and strategic guidance, which have been instrumental to the Company’s growth in the educational technology space. The Board wishes him continued success in his future pursuits,” the company said.

Aboyeji is general partner and co-founder of Future Africa and co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo, is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, advises African governments and sits on the boards of several corporations.

Learn Africa was incorporated in August 1961 as a book publisher and began as a subsidiary of Longman Group (UK), now Pearson Education. It has more than 5,000 titles and over 210 employees across Nigeria. The company distributes imported Longman titles and produces original content in English and indigenous Nigerian languages.
