Jakarta Fire: Six Hospitalized for Smoke Inhalation in Kemayoran

A fire erupted in the densely populated Kebon Kosong neighborhood of Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, forcing the evacuation of residents and resulting in six individuals being taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. The thick smoke posed a significant hazard to those living in the crowded area.

Authorities have deployed a substantial response, with around 200 joint personnel from the police, military, and local government actively engaged in the evacuation and relief operations. The focus is on assisting those affected by the blaze and ensuring their safety. Police are also managing traffic and closing access roads to facilitate the movement of fire trucks and ambulances.

The affected area is known for its high population density, with an estimated 400 to 500 families residing there, according to local community leaders. Firefighters are continuing their efforts to extinguish the remaining flames and cool down the site. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
