Jakarta Police Assure City is Safe and Under Control

Jakarta is currently safe and under control, according to the Metro Jaya Regional Police. Kombes Bhudi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations for the police, stated on Saturday that various indicators confirm the city's stability. He emphasized that the ability for citizens to gather for events like the 'Jaga Jakarta untuk Indonesia' (Guard Jakarta for Indonesia) rally signifies a peaceful and manageable environment.

Bhudi Hermanto pointed to the uninterrupted flow of daily life as evidence of Jakarta's security. He noted that religious activities, economic centers like shopping malls, educational institutions, and public transportation are all functioning normally. These aspects of everyday life proceeding without significant disruption are key metrics used by the police and the Jaya Regional Military Command to assess the city's safety.

Further underscoring Jakarta's secure status, Hermanto highlighted the ongoing visits of foreign dignitaries. The presence of prime ministers from Thailand, Singapore, India, and Germany, along with representatives from Belarus, are seen as strong signals that Indonesia, and specifically Jakarta, is a safe destination. These high-level international visits, he stated, demonstrate confidence in the city's security and stability.
