Jalibert fit to face Japan in Nations Championship

France has announced its lineup for the upcoming Nations Championship fixture against Japan in Tokyo, with Matthieu Jalibert set to play at fullback. This marks a strategic shift, as Jalibert had previously missed training due to an adductor problem.

Coach Fabien Galthie has opted for continuity in the backline, retaining the same combination that secured a decisive 42-26 victory over Australia last weekend. Romain Ntamack will again feature at flyhalf. However, the front row sees a change, with Maxime Lamothe earning a start at hooker, joining props Jefferson Poirot and Regis Montagne.

In the back row, Lenni Nouchi and Marko Gazzotti are selected as flankers, and Alexandre Roumat will play at number eight. Oscar Jegou is unavailable due to a shoulder issue. The match is anticipated to take place under hot and humid conditions in Tokyo.
