Japan's Rimi Natsukawa to Perform in Hengchun

Japanese singer Rimi Natsukawa is set to perform in Hengchun, Taiwan, in September 2026, marking her return to the area after a four-year absence. She will hold solo concerts at the Hengchun Cultural Center on September 12 and 13 as part of the "2026 Sound Wave Art Festival."

Natsukawa, hailing from Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, is renowned for her pure, warm, and penetrating voice. Her hit song "Nada Sōsō" (Tears Will Shine) spent an impressive 116 weeks on Japan's Oricon charts and earned her multiple Japan Record Awards. She has frequently appeared on NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" and is loved across Asia for her healing music.

This will be Natsukawa's first solo theater performance in Hengchun, following her participation in the "Peninsula Song Festival" in 2022. She has a history of touring Taiwan since her first solo concert in Taipei in 2006, with performances in various cities. Her previous appearance in Hengchun in 2022 was met with great enthusiasm.
