Japanese 'Crash Landing on You' musical hit by 'double infidelity' scandal

The Japanese musical theater adaptation of the hit Korean drama "Crash Landing on You" has become the center of a scandal, with lead actors Ryohei Miyauchi and Maria Kanno reportedly involved in an "affair." Both actors are married, and allegations of a "double infidelity" have surfaced, casting a shadow over the production.

Miyauchi, a former member of the J-pop group BE:FIRST, and Kanno, a former Takarazuka Revue actress, are said to have grown close during rehearsals. Initial reports suggested they were meeting privately, prompting their respective agencies to admit they had spent time together but insisting it was for in-depth character study and denying any extramarital affair.

The magazine reported that the pair continued to meet even after the initial reports, with sources claiming they met in high-end hotels. The scandal has drawn significant attention, particularly as Miyauchi is married to Jurie, the daughter of renowned Japanese actors Yutaka Mizutani and Ran Ito. Jurie is reportedly devastated by the allegations. Miyauchi has a history of controversy, including past accusations of marriage fraud and a previous engagement that ended abruptly. His current situation is being scrutinized against his past statements about living "freely" and being "loyal to work and desires."
