Javier Tarazona questions Héctor Rodríguez over deterioration of Venezuela’s public education

Javier Tarazona questioned Héctor Rodríguez over what he described as the deterioration of Venezuela’s public education system.

Tarazona said a deep inequality separates the reality of Caracas from that of the rest of the country. Outside the capital, he said, both active and retired teachers are facing an economic crisis.

According to Tarazona, that crisis has forced teachers to look for informal jobs simply to survive.
