Jay Chou's agency slams 'illegitimate child' rumors, vows legal action

Jay Chou's agency, JVR Music, has strongly refuted recent online rumors alleging the popular singer has an illegitimate child. The baseless claims, reportedly initiated by a Chinese entertainment blogger known as "China's No. 1 paparazzi," suggested a prominent three-character Heavenly King in the Chinese music scene fathered a child over a decade ago.

While the accuser did not explicitly name Chou, the gossip quickly circulated online, with his name frequently appearing in discussions. The rumors claimed the unnamed celebrity had a child with a woman surnamed Liu, who was allegedly supported financially over the years.

The relevant online rumors are all false information, purely malicious fabrication, and their behavior of deliberately alluding and sensationalizing to gain traffic is severely condemned by this company.

JVR Music released a statement on August 6th, condemning the "false reports" and calling them "maliciously fabricated" and designed to attract traffic. The agency emphasized that the internet is not a lawless space and that spreading untrue information carries legal consequences. They have appointed lawyers to preserve evidence and reserve all rights to pursue legal action against the disseminators of these false reports.

Despite the unfounded allegations, Chou has continued to share aspects of his life on social media, posting about playing tennis and photographing friends, seemingly unfazed and aiming to prevent the rumors from affecting his mood.
