Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's child Emme transitions, adopts name Oskar

Emme, the 18-year-old child of global superstars Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, has publicly embraced a new identity, adopting the name Oskar and presenting as male. This significant personal milestone was revealed during their recent graduation ceremony.

Oskar, who was born Emme, has been exploring their gender identity for some time. At age 14, Jennifer Lopez referred to their child using "elle" pronouns, signaling a journey of self-discovery. Now, at 18, Oskar has officially adopted male pronouns and the name Oskar Muñiz, incorporating their father's surname.

Family members gathered to celebrate Oskar's graduation in Los Angeles, including Jennifer Lopez's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez. Samuel Affleck, the 14-year-old son of Lopez's ex-husband Ben Affleck, was also in attendance. Notably absent from the ceremony was Oskar's father, Marc Anthony.

Oskar's twin brother, Max, attended a different educational institution and will not be joining Oskar at university. While Oskar and Max are Lopez's only children, Marc Anthony has a larger family, with seven children and an eighth on the way with his current wife, Nadia Ferreira.
