Jeong Dong-won's agency, Showplay Entertainment, announced on the 29th that it is intensifying legal responses to various rumors surrounding the singer. The agency has been issuing warnings and requesting the deletion of posts targeting Jeong Dong-won with malicious slander, defamation, and the spread of false information.

We have been taking measures such as warnings and requests for deletion of posts against malicious slander, defamation, and the spread of false information and baseless rumors targeting Jeong Dong-won.

Showplay stated that some cases deemed serious have already resulted in actual punishments through legal proceedings. Recently, the agency identified activities that spread baseless information disguised as fan activity, distort and exaggerate situations to create negative public opinion, instigate conflicts within the fandom, and even harm partner companies.

In some cases, we have proceeded with legal action according to relevant laws and procedures, and there have been cases of actual punishment.

The agency specifically noted movements that appear as general fan activities but are actually aimed at damaging the artist's image and causing confusion within the fandom. Showplay emphasized its commitment to protecting the artist's rights and vowed to continue strong legal action against any future instances of false information, defamation, malicious slander, rumor creation and spreading, impersonation of fans, or fan-based conflict instigation, without any leniency or settlement.

We are strictly aware of movements that, while outwardly appearing as general fan activities, are actually engaged in acts that damage the artist's image and aim to create confusion within the fandom.
