Jerusalem children camp in Morocco for summer program

Fifty Palestinian children from Jerusalem have arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, to participate in the 17th annual summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency. The two-week camp, running from August 12 to August 26, 2026, is held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, who chairs the Al-Quds Committee.

The children, aged 11 to 14, are engaging in a variety of activities designed for this year's theme, "Beacon of Peace." These include educational tours to historical sites, artistic and sports competitions, and recreational games. The program also facilitates exchange and familiarization opportunities with their Moroccan peers.

A summer school, running from August 12 to 14, 2026, under the slogan "We learn.. we create.. we look forward with hope to the future," brings together Palestinian and Moroccan children. It features presentations and competitions led by the "Haya" platform, an online initiative by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency promoting the virtues and values of Jerusalem.

The summer school commenced with an educational workshop on "Safe Use of the Internet and Information Technology," led by experts from the National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data. Participants will also visit official institutions in Rabat before concluding the first phase with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The camp then moves to Tangier on Monday, August 17, 2026, for its second phase, which includes visits to Tetouan and Chefchaouen.

Established in 2008 under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, the Jerusalem children's camp is an annual social and educational initiative by the agency. It aims to enhance the capabilities of young participants, promote cultural exchange, and provide opportunities for interaction with their counterparts in Morocco. The children also participate in Moroccan national celebrations, performing songs and dances that blend Palestinian heritage with Moroccan culture.
