Jerusalem real estate event headed by Moshe Lion set to be protested against in Manhattan

Anti-Israel activists are set to protest a Jerusalem municipality real estate investment event scheduled to take place in Manhattan. The group, Palestinian Assembly for Liberation Al-Awda in New York City and New Jersey (PAL-Awda NY/NJ), announced they would demonstrate outside the hotel hosting the "Jerusalem. Your Home. Your Future" event.

PAL-Awda, which has frequently protested Israeli real estate events, asserts that the exposition focuses on Jerusalem and is selling "illegal real estate" while recruiting "settlers." The group posted on Instagram, "All-out to protest Jerusalem real estate expo of stolen Palestinian land and settler fair. We will not be silent as land theft occurs inside our neighborhoods."

The expo, organized by the Jerusalem municipality, the Israeli Building Center, and the Jerusalem Development Authority, was expected to attract approximately 1,000 participants. Organizers highlighted Jerusalem's significance to the Jewish people and planned to present projects at pre-sale prices and showcase units under construction.

As a security measure, the event's location was only revealed two days prior. However, PAL-Awda has mobilized supporters for the protest. The group previously demonstrated against the Great Israeli Real Estate exposition on May 11 and another exposition on May 5, where masked protesters displayed symbols of Hezbollah and Hamas and called for Israel's destruction.
