Jet Ski Seized After Reports of Reckless Riding Near Swimmers in Denmark

Police have seized a personal watercraft after multiple witnesses reported a man riding it dangerously close to swimmers at Stillinge Strand, north of Korsør, on Saturday afternoon. The incident prompted an immediate response from law enforcement.

According to beachgoers, the individual on the jet ski was maneuvering between people swimming in the water. "Several people have come forward as witnesses. Many say they filmed the ride," stated duty officer Kim Skov from the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police. Fortunately, no one was reported to have been injured during the incident.

The police stopped a group of six men, aged between 30 and 40, approximately two hours after receiving the initial report. The watercraft was seized with the intention of confiscation. "We were lying in wait," the duty officer added.

Further investigations will involve reviewing potential video evidence and interviewing witnesses. Based on these findings, the police will decide whether to press charges against any individuals involved. The incident highlights concerns about water safety and responsible operation of recreational watercraft.
