The agency representing actor Ji Chang-wook has addressed reports that the celebrity faces a significant tax fine amounting to billions of won. Spring Company, Ji's management firm, confirmed that the actor is subject to additional tax charges but vehemently denied any intentional wrongdoing.

"There was absolutely no intentional omission of income or evasion through fraudulent means," the agency stated in a press release. They acknowledged that the situation involves a difference in tax interpretation regarding whether income generated from the actor's entertainment activities should be attributed to him personally or to the corporation, a matter they are discussing with tax authorities.

Spring Company emphasized its commitment to transparency, stating that they fully cooperated with the recent tax audit by submitting all relevant documentation. The agency also highlighted Ji Chang-wook's history of compliance, noting that he has adhered strictly to tax laws and procedures since his debut in 2008, prioritizing his duty as a taxpayer.

While respecting the National Tax Service's findings, the agency assured that the imposed additional tax payments will be settled promptly according to the established procedures. The firm also extended an apology for causing concern among the public due to this matter.
