Jimmie Åkesson: Time is Running Out for the Liberal Party

Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson has issued a firm deadline for the Liberal Party, stating that time is running out for them. He has called on the Liberals to achieve at least 3.5 percent in opinion polls ten days prior to the election. Should they fail to meet this target, Åkesson suggested that voters who traditionally support the "blue-yellow" (Liberal) cause should cast their ballots for one of the other parties within the Tidö agreement. This ultimatum comes after leading Liberal figures made statements, some reportedly critical of the Sweden Democrats, using phrases like "not a quisling, but" and "pissing in one's own tent."

Åkesson stated that the Sweden Democrats "must relate to reality," implying a pragmatic approach to the current political landscape and the Liberals' electoral standing. The deadline was set on Sunday, signaling a critical juncture for the Liberal Party's position within the governing coalition.
