Jingshu Stock Faces Trading Restrictions; Xin Hing Also Under Watch

Jingshu, a stock in the ABF substrate sector, will be subject to a 5-minute trading interval system starting May 28. This measure, implemented by the Taiwan Stock Exchange, follows three consecutive days where the stock met the criteria for "public attention transaction information." The restriction will last for ten business days, until June 10.

Under this system, trading will be conducted through an "electronic trading terminal with manual control," with transactions potentially occurring every five minutes. Investors will face limits on the volume of shares they can buy or sell within a single day. If an investor's single order reaches ten trading units or multiple orders accumulate to thirty units, the full purchase price or the securities sold must be collected from that investor for the day.

Xin Hing, another prominent stock in the ABF substrate industry, is also under scrutiny. It has received two consecutive warnings for excessive price increases. If the stock experiences another significant surge on May 28, it could also be placed under a similar trading restriction starting the following day.

These measures come amid a recent rally in the Taiwanese stock market, where ABF substrate stocks have experienced notable price appreciation. The exchange's actions aim to curb excessive speculation and ensure orderly trading in these high-performing stocks.
