Joe Biden's prostate cancer is 'very painful' and 'debilitating,' reveals son

Hunter Biden has disclosed that his father, former U.S. President Joe Biden, is enduring a "very painful" and "very debilitating" battle with prostate cancer. In an interview with the BBC, Hunter explained that the cancer has metastasized to his bones and other areas, causing significant suffering.

"My father is, to this day, the center of our family," Hunter stated emotionally, praising him as "the best father, the best husband, the best grandfather." The former president was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer with bone metastasis last year, after leaving the White House.

Despite undergoing treatment, the 83-year-old former head of state has continued some public engagements. He participated in the inauguration of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago in June. Hunter Biden expressed a wish that his father would complain more about his condition, adding, "The only thing I say about my father, about his health at this moment, is that I wish he would complain more."

Throughout his term (2021-2025), Biden faced scrutiny over his age and fitness for office. He ultimately withdrew from his re-election campaign after a perceived poor performance in a presidential debate against Donald Trump. Before leaving office, Biden issued a pardon to his son, who had been convicted of illegal weapons possession and faced tax-related charges, despite having previously pledged not to do so. Hunter Biden expressed gratitude for the pardon, acknowledging it was not "a good thing" for his father's legacy.
