JOF U-13 Cup reaches grand finale in Lagos after months of competition

Lagos's football fields have buzzed with energy for over four months as hundreds of young players competed in the JOF U-13 Cup Football Tournament. The seventh edition of this competition culminates on Sunday, June 28, with the grand finale set to take place at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Sports Arena.

The day's events will feature VI Foot of Ijora facing Fortune Football Academy of Oshodi in the championship match at 3 p.m. Earlier, at 1 p.m., Soccer City FA of Iwaya and Ultimate Football Academy of Coker Aguda will vie for third place. Beyond the pursuit of trophies, this final represents the culmination of months of dedication, discipline, and hard work by some of Lagos State's most promising young football talents.

Since its inception on February 6, the tournament has involved 64 clubs from across Lagos State's 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas. A total of 84 matches have been played, showcasing exciting talent and providing valuable experiences for the young participants. The JOF U-13 Cup is more than just a competition; it's a platform designed to nurture talent while instilling essential values such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience.

Organized by the Lagos State Grassroots Football Association and sponsored by JOF Nigeria Limited, the tournament has solidified its reputation as a premier grassroots football event in Lagos.
