John Travolta and Bruce Willis film 'Paradise City' becomes Netflix hit

The 2022 action film "Paradise City," featuring Hollywood legends Bruce Willis and John Travolta, has unexpectedly surged to the top of Netflix's most-watched list.

The movie, which marks a reunion for the two stars after nearly three decades since their iconic collaboration in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction," follows Ryan Swan (Blake Jenner). Driven by a thirst for vengeance, Ryan travels to Maui, Hawaii, after his father, bounty hunter Ian Swan (Willis), is ambushed and killed while pursuing a valuable bounty. Authorities have closed the case, but Ryan suspects a darker truth.

To uncover the culprits, Ryan infiltrates the island's criminal underworld, forming an alliance with his father's former partner, Robbie Cole (Stephen Dorff), and local detective Savannah (Praya Lundberg). Their investigation into dangerous corporate secrets leads them to Arlene “Buck” Buckley (John Travolta), a ruthless real estate magnate with a criminal past who controls the island's politics and economy. Buckley plans to seize a native Hawaiian nature reserve for his illicit dealings.
