Jordan Zemura Joins Watford from Udinese

Zimbabwean defender Jordan Zemura has completed a transfer to English Championship side Watford, signaling his return to English football after a three-year spell in Italy with Udinese. This move is a key part of Watford's summer recruitment strategy as the club prepares for the new season.

The 26-year-old left-back previously gained recognition at AFC Bournemouth, progressing through their youth system and featuring in both the Championship and the Premier League. He then joined Serie A club Udinese on a free transfer in 2023, where he became a regular starter, accumulating over 60 league appearances and earning plaudits for his contributions both offensively and defensively.

Watford's sporting director, Luke Dowling, confirmed Zemura's arrival, alongside fellow new signings Martín Payero and Iker Bravo from Udinese. The club is actively reshaping its squad in preparation for the 2026/27 campaign, with the aim of securing promotion back to the Premier League.
