Jorge Sampaoli announced as new coach of Talleres de Córdoba

Jorge Sampaoli has been officially announced as the new head coach of Talleres de Córdoba, with the club confirming the news via a post on social media platform X. Talleres stated that Sampaoli's arrival aims to bring experience, conviction, and leadership during a demanding period for the professional team. The club's board expressed particular appreciation for Sampaoli's decision to choose Talleres for his return to Argentine first-division football. Sampaoli, 66, has a lengthy coaching career that includes stints with Emelec (Ecuador), Universidad de Chile, Sevilla (Spain), Olympique de Marseille (France), and Brazilian clubs Atlético Mineiro, Santos, and Flamengo. His notable achievements include guiding Chile to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and winning the 2015 Copa América, a period considered one of Chilean football's most successful. He later coached Sevilla and the Argentine national team during the qualifiers and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
