Judge Zaidan and acting US ambassador discuss putting weapons under state control

Iraq’s top judicial official, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met Steven Fagin, the new acting US ambassador to Iraq, on Monday to discuss the government’s efforts to bring weapons under state control.

The talks examined judicial procedures that could support implementation of the government’s program. The meeting was reported as part of discussions on the role of the judiciary in carrying out the initiative.
