Jung Yong-hwa delights fans in Taipei with playful interactions and strong vocals

South Korean band CNBLUE's lead singer Jung Yong-hwa brought his '2026 Jung Yong Hwa Fan Meeting: Same Light: U&I' to Taipei, performing two shows on the 15th. The event featured a playful dynamic between Jung and his translator, Qma, who jokingly demanded extra fan benefits, citing his past "teasing." Jung Yong-hwa entertained the audience with a variety of activities, including a cooking segment where he prepared cold noodles for lucky fans and a challenging round of tongue twisters. He also attempted a dance challenge, playfully admitting that the group's dancer, Minhyuk, was the real expert. Despite initial reluctance, Jung Yong-hwa performed a "chest-shaking" dance move, though he quickly stopped, perhaps mindful of his image. His vocal performances, however, were a highlight, with renditions of 'Love Light,' 'Would You Marry Me,' and 'WOULD YOU.' He even ventured up to the venue's fourth floor, admitting the climb left him breathless. A particularly memorable moment occurred when Jung Yong-hwa sat next to a male fan, putting an arm around his shoulder, much to the surprise and excitement of the audience, before taking a selfie together. The fan meeting concluded with a group photo and a performance of 'A Beautiful Day,' leaving fans with a warm sense of connection.
