Nigeria's Junior YellowGreens achieved a historic milestone in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2, crushing Mozambique by 407 runs. The team posted a tournament-record 461/6 in their 50 overs, showcasing a remarkable batting performance at the IPRC Oval in Kigali.

The formidable total was anchored by four standout batters: Hossana Omonkhobhio (84 off 73 balls), Peculiar Egemasi (123 off 84 balls), and Bright Edem Nyong, who smashed an unbeaten 137 off just 53 balls. These four players combined for 385 runs, representing over 83 percent of Nigeria's final score. Captain Ali Rahmon also provided crucial stability at the top of the order with 41 runs.

Following the record-setting batting display, Nigeria's bowlers were equally dominant. Mozambique's chase collapsed under sustained pressure, and they were dismissed for a mere 54 runs in 23 overs. Kenneth Boniface was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 13 runs.
