Jürgen Klopp to coach Germany until 2030 World Cup conclusion

Jürgen Klopp has officially taken the helm as the head coach of the German national football team, committing to a tenure that will last until the end of the 2030 World Cup. His appointment follows the departure of Julian Nagelsmann, who stepped down after Germany's disappointing elimination in the round of 16 of the World Cup held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Klopp brings a wealth of experience and success from his club management career, having achieved significant accolades with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. These achievements have cemented his reputation not only in Germany and England but across the entire European football landscape. His arrival is seen as a major coup for the German Football Association (DFB).

The new national team manager was formally presented on Friday by DFB President Bernd Neuendorf. Neuendorf stated that Klopp had been their top choice from the outset. The 59-year-old Stuttgart native will be supported by a coaching staff including Peter Krawietz, Pepjin Lijnders, and Sven Benders. Additionally, former international player Per Mertesacker will assume the position of DFB sporting director.
