Justice Bustillo questions ‘excesses’ involving public property and urges consistency in public office

Supreme Court Justice Isabela Bustillo has questioned the use of public property in the name of protecting judges and magistrates.

Bustillo said the security of judges, magistrates and their families is important because of the responsibilities they carry. But she warned that security protection should not become a justification for possible excesses involving public resources.

She also called for coherence in the conduct of public officials.
