Justice Minister Akın Gürlek announces new phase for Turkey’s courts

Turkey has launched a new hotline for people whose court cases or investigations have remained unresolved beyond specified limits.

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said the 135 Alo Adalet service began operating at 10 a.m. on the first day of the 2026-2027 judicial year. Under the pilot scheme, citizens can apply directly about court cases that have lasted more than five years or investigations that have continued for more than three years.

The service is initially available through the Ankara West, Izmir and Kayseri courthouses. Gürlek said the government plans to extend it across Turkey as soon as possible.

He said the initiative aims to help complete proceedings within a reasonable time and ensure that justice is delivered promptly. Gürlek presented the hotline as part of steps intended to make judicial services more accessible, effective and faster.
