Kaduna gov reconstitutes five boards, appoints new aides

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has initiated a significant administrative overhaul, reconstituting the governing council of Kaduna State University and the boards of five state-owned institutions. This move, alongside fresh appointments into key government positions, is intended to bolster governance and enhance service delivery across the state.

Among the notable appointments is entertainment entrepreneur and lawyer Audu Maikori, who will serve as Chief Strategic Adviser on Inter-Governmental Affairs. The governor also brought in Umar Uba Maicitta as Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations and Aminu Mohammed Gusau as Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications. These appointments are part of a broader strategy to inject new energy into the public service and expedite the administration's development agenda.

The reconstituted Kaduna State University Governing Council will be chaired by Dr. Ibrahim Umar as Pro-Chancellor. Other members include representatives from different zones and the organized private sector. Similarly, new management boards have been appointed for the Kaduna Mining Development Company, Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency, and Kaduna State Media Corporation, with chairmen and members representing various zones and sectors.

Governor Sani emphasized that these appointments are based on merit, competence, and commitment to the state's socio-economic development. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, stated that these actions are crucial for strengthening governance and accelerating the administration's transformative agenda, signaling a renewed focus on effective public service and progress.
