Kafr El Sheikh opens school-supplies fair with discounts of up to 35%

School uniforms, backpacks, stationery and shoes are being sold alongside oil, sugar, rice, flour, eggs and pasta at a new fair in Kafr El Sheikh.

Governor Ibrahim Mekki opened the Ahlan Madaris exhibition on Thursday at 47 Square in Kafr El Sheikh city. The event was organized in cooperation with the Supply Directorate and includes 17 exhibitors. It will continue until the end of the month, ahead of the new school year.

Mekki toured the fair’s sections to check that students and their families could find the products they need. He also inspected product quality and whether sellers were honoring the advertised prices and discounts.

The governor said the Ahlan Madaris fairs form part of government efforts to reduce the burden on citizens by providing school supplies and essential goods at lower prices, following President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s directives.

He called for strict compliance with the announced discounts and quality standards. He also urged officials to expand fairs and sales outlets across the governorate’s towns and districts, with a focus on helping the neediest families.
