Kalu hails Tinubu, Ribadu over rescue of Oyo pupils, teachers

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has commended President Bola Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Nigeria's security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted from schools in Oyo State. Kalu described the operation as a significant relief for the victims, their families, and the nation, highlighting the professionalism and resilience of the involved agencies.

The successful operation reflects the importance of sustained collaboration among Nigeria’s security institutions and the continued support of the Federal Government in tackling insecurity across the country.

The senator specifically praised the coordinated efforts of the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the National Intelligence Agency, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. He noted that their collaborative work and the Federal Government's support were crucial to the operation's success.

Security is not a partisan matter. Criminals do not ask their victims which political party they belong to before attacking them. When our security agencies record successes, every Nigerian should encourage them because such victories belong to the nation as a whole.

Kalu used the occasion to caution politicians and public office holders against politicizing security issues. He stressed that security is a non-partisan matter and that successes achieved by security agencies should be celebrated by all Nigerians. He urged for constructive support and responsible engagement from all leaders to present a united front against criminality.
