Kang Baek-ho proves his RBI lead with two-homer, four-RBI show as Hanwha beats LG

Hanwha Eagles' Kang Baek-ho proved why he leads the league in RBIs with a powerful two-homer, four-RBI performance that secured an 8-1 win against the LG Twins. The victory moved Hanwha into fifth place, just half a game ahead of the Doosan Bears, and marked their second consecutive win.

The highly anticipated matchup between the two teams, who had been tied 3-3 in their season series, drew a sellout crowd of 23,750 to Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The game remained scoreless through five innings, with Hanwha's Nick Whit and LG's Casey Kelly on the mound.

Kang broke the deadlock in the top of the sixth inning with his 22nd home run of the season, sending a 144 km/h fastball from Kelly over the left-center field fence. The ball traveled 114 meters with an exit velocity of 159 km/h. He wasn't done, adding a crucial RBI with a perfectly executed bunt in the top of the eighth inning with runners on first and third, extending Hanwha's lead.
