Kano Fire Service Rescues Man and Cow from Well

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Sabon Ruwa Village, Makoda Local Government Area, Kano State, where the State Fire Service successfully saved a 40-year-old man and a five-year-old cow from an old well.

The incident began when the cow fell into the well. Its owner, Badamasi Ibrahim, attempted to rescue the animal. However, he too became trapped inside the well and struggled to breathe. The Emergency Response Unit of the Danbatta Fire Station received a distress call and quickly mobilized firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, the rescue team found both the cow and Ibrahim trapped. Firefighters carried out a swift operation, managing to bring both the man and the cow out of the well alive. The man's difficulty breathing while trapped highlighted the dangerous conditions.

Following the successful rescue, the Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Sani Anas, issued a strong warning to the public. He urged residents to refrain from entering wells to rescue people or animals, emphasizing that such actions pose significant risks of injury or death. Anas stressed the importance of contacting trained emergency responders, like the fire service, who possess the necessary equipment and expertise to handle such perilous situations safely.
