Kano governor mourns death of popular Hausa political singer Kosan Waka

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Muhammadu Buhari, a celebrated Hausa political singer widely known as Kosan Waka. Buhari died on Sunday at the age of 47 following a brief illness.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to Buhari's family, particularly his mother, as well as his friends, associates, and the people of Kano State. The family confirmed that the singer would be laid to rest in his hometown of Tsanni, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Sunday afternoon.
