Kaohsiung Maritime Party to Feature Immersive 'Round-Eyed Aquarium' Experience

Kaohsiung is set to host its "2026 Kaohsiung Maritime Party" on August 22 and 23, transforming the Great Lawn near the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Station into an immersive ocean-themed celebration. This year's event promises a unique adventure, prominently featuring the popular "Round-Eyed Aquarium" intellectual property to create a captivating underwater world for attendees.

The festivities will kick off with a performance by the renowned "Soon to Come Fire Dance Troupe" and its artist "Yang Li-wei - The Dancing Foot." The event is packed with highlights for families, including photo opportunities with characters from the "Round-Eyed Aquarium" and an interactive "Ocean Explorers" zone designed for children. This area will feature magnetic fishing ponds and kinetic sandboxes, allowing kids to learn about the ocean through play.

Adding to the excitement, the "Splash Carnival Show" will present a variety of performances, such as a clown on stilts, themed parent-child interactive dances, and a colorful bubble show. The "Ocean Market" will offer a diverse range of attractions, including specialty food trucks and creative cultural merchandise, creating a vibrant atmosphere for food, shopping, and relaxation by the harbor.

Complementing the main event, the adjacent Starlight Waterfront Park has been upgraded with a "dual theme" design, incorporating both land and water elements. Visitors can enjoy attractions like a water slide, an infinity pool with harbor views, and misting arches. The park also retains popular water play areas and slides, seamlessly blending aquatic fun with stunning sea vistas.
