Kaohsiung MRT Yellow Line Construction Advances with Nighttime Road Paving

Kaohsiung City's Mass Rapid Transit Bureau is advancing the Yellow Line construction with a focus on improving surrounding road quality. From July 12 to 18, nighttime road paving will take place on Jianguo Road, Benguan Road, and Qiuchang Road. This work is being conducted exclusively at night, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., to minimize disruption to daytime traffic.

The bureau has already completed similar paving on Dapi Road and Chengcing Road. The current phase involves Jianguo Road between Dachang 2nd Road and Dashun 2nd Road (July 12-14), Benguan Road between Dachang Road and Fenyang Road (July 14-16), and Qiuchang Road between Wenzhong 1st Lane and Jianguo Road 203rd Lane (July 16-18).

To manage traffic flow during construction, lane diversions and phased closures will be implemented as needed. Drivers traveling between Sanmin and Niaosong districts are advised to use alternative routes such as Dashun 2nd Road, Jiouru 1st Road, and Chengcing Road. The construction sites will be equipped with nighttime LED warning lights, and traffic police will be present to ensure safety.

To continue promoting Kaohsiung MRT Yellow Line construction and simultaneously improve the quality of surrounding roads, the Kaohsiung City MRT Bureau will conduct annual road paving on Jianguo Road, Benguan Road, and Qiuchang Road sections from today (12th) to the 18th. To reduce the impact on daytime traffic, all construction will be carried out at night.
