Karim Belhocine Appointed New Head Coach of JS Kabylie; Club Secures Five New Signings

Algerian football club Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK) has announced the appointment of Karim Belhocine as its new head coach. The club, competing in Ligue 1 Mobilis, revealed the decision via its official social media channels, welcoming the experienced technician to lead the first team.

Belhocine, 48, brings a wealth of experience from professional football in Europe, particularly in Belgium, where he held various technical roles and managed several teams. His coaching philosophy is built on principles of hard work, rigor, and effective group management. In addition to the coaching change, JSK has been active in the transfer market, securing the signatures of five new players. These acquisitions include left-back Abdellah Bendouma from Paradou AC, defensive midfielder Messala Merbah from CS Constantine, attacking midfielder Badis Bouamama from ES Ben Aknoun, defender Toufik Chérifi from Tunisia's Club Africain, and forward Mustapha Djebril Soukkou from Paradou AC.

The club also confirmed the termination of contracts for defenders Laïd Chahine Bellaouel and Ecua Célestin. On the administrative front, JSK is undergoing restructuring, with former international Yazid Mansouri named as the new sporting director and Kamel Yesli appointed as the official club spokesperson. JSK concluded the 2025-2026 season in fifth place in the general standings.
