Karina Milei inaugurates new Buenos Aires party headquarters in San Telmo

Karina Milei, a key figure in Argentina's ruling party and sister to President Javier Milei, is intensifying her involvement in the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) party's operations. While maintaining her role as secretary-general, she is orchestrating a series of party-related events scheduled for August.

A notable event is the inauguration of a new provincial headquarters for LLA in Buenos Aires. Intriguingly, the chosen location is in the San Telmo neighborhood of the capital city, rather than within the province itself. Sources indicate this decision was made for logistical convenience, making it easier for leaders and members to travel.

The San Telmo location holds symbolic significance, being near Parque Lezama, a place associated with Javier Milei's political beginnings. The three-story building, situated on Avenida Caseros, is already prepared for its official opening, which Karina Milei will lead alongside provincial leader Sebastián Pareja.

Beyond the inauguration, Karina Milei plans to host LLA deputies and senators from Buenos Aires at the Casa Rosada, mirroring a recent event held for Buenos Aires city legislators. The party is also preparing for its libertarian congress, expected in late October or early November in Buenos Aires province.

These organizational efforts come as LLA navigates the political landscape of Buenos Aires province, where Governor Axel Kicillof cannot seek re-election. The party is reportedly considering current Chief of Staff Diego Santilli as a potential candidate, though some factions within the ruling party are reportedly exploring options for him to run in the capital instead.
