Karina Milei Visits Misiones to Launch Leadership School, Calls for President's 2027 Re-election

Karina Milei, the influential sister of Argentina's President Javier Milei and the general secretary of the ruling La Libertad Avanza (LLA) party, has declared her "great objective" is to pave the way for her brother's re-election in 2027. Speaking in Misiones province, she launched the party's local leadership school, an initiative aimed at consolidating territorial support.

She addressed party members, local leaders, and militants, thanking them for their past support and emphasizing LLA's commitment to forming new leaders.

Milei highlighted LLA's differentiation from "traditional politics," asserting that her party does not act like a "herd" and stressing the importance of ideological formation to spread President Milei's "model of liberty." The launch of the leadership school is part of LLA's broader strategy to expand its reach across Argentina's 24 provinces ahead of next year's electoral cycle.

Adrián Núñez, president of LLA Misiones, indicated the party's ambition to challenge the provincial government in 2027, currently held by Hugo Passalacqua of the Frente Renovador por la Concordia. Núñez stated, "We represent completely different ideas and values from those who govern the province" and urged local members to "take charge of the destiny of Misiones."

The party's push for territorial consolidation comes amid internal government discussions, including the recent departure of former Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni, who is reportedly under investigation for illicit enrichment. LLA's strategy involves establishing leadership schools in numerous provinces to disseminate "the ideas of liberty" and expand the party's distinctive "violet" color across the country.
