Karlsruher SC Signs Defender Viktor Bergh from Djurgardens IF

German football club Karlsruher SC has bolstered its defense by signing Viktor Bergh, a left-back acquired from Swedish side Djurgardens IF. The 26-year-old defender officially joined the club at the start of their training camp in Neukirchen, Austria, and has committed to a multi-year deal.

Mario Eggimann, KSC's Sporting Director, emphasized the importance of strengthening the left-back position, especially after the loan of Deniz Ofli. "We are very aware of the importance of the left-back position. Therefore, it was clear to us that we wanted to do something after the loan of Deniz Ofli," Eggimann stated.

Bergh is familiar with German football from his previous stint with FC Hansa Rostock and possesses international experience gained from playing in the Conference League. Timon Pauls, Director of Professional Football, praised Bergh's attributes, noting his "high work rate and intensity." Pauls added that Bergh "likes to get involved in the offensive game regularly, seeking the way forward with his drive" and "presses the opponent early through his aggressiveness and dynamism."
