Katseye replaced at Olivia Rodrigo festival after band member suffers ankle injury

The girl group Katseye has been forced to withdraw from Olivia Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival. Member Megan Skiendiel sustained an ankle injury during tour rehearsals, leading to the cancellation of their performance.

American singer-songwriter Devon Again will now perform in the slot previously designated for Katseye. The band expressed their apologies in a statement, explaining that doctors advised Skiendiel to rest to ensure a full recovery before their upcoming tour.

Megan sprained her ankle yesterday during tour rehearsal, and after being evaluated by doctors, she has been advised to stay off it and allow it to properly heal so we can be ready for our upcoming tour.

This situation arises as other members of Katseye are also prioritizing their well-being. Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are currently taking time away from the band to focus on their mental health. Skiendiel recently spoke about her own mental health struggles, emphasizing the importance of supportive relationships and therapy.

I’ve always struggled with mental health and everything in that essence.

Skiendiel shared that the "girls" in the band provide significant support, preventing her from feeling like she is "too much." She highlighted therapy as a crucial tool for processing feelings rather than suppressing them. Having previously experienced a back injury that led to her own hiatus, Skiendiel expressed empathy for bandmates needing to rest.
