Kazakhstan Ministry: No Official Request Received from Wildberries for New Warehouses

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Trade has stated that it has not officially received any applications from the Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries concerning the establishment of new warehouse facilities within the country. This clarification comes amid reports of the company's significant expansion plans in Kazakhstan.

To clarify, regarding an official appeal, there is none. It has not yet been submitted to us. Upon receipt, we will consider it in the established manner.

According to Arman Shakkaliev, the Minister of Trade and Integration, while no formal requests have been lodged, Wildberries is already a substantial presence in the Kazakh market. The company reportedly leases approximately 46,000 square meters of space and is actively constructing around 260,000 square meters of additional warehouse facilities. These new constructions are slated for completion and operational readiness in the first quarter of 2027.

Furthermore, the ministry addressed concerns regarding recent incidents, stating that it possesses no data on the extent of damages suffered by sellers from Kazakhstan following attacks on Wildberries warehouses. Minister Shakkaliev urged the public and stakeholders to exercise caution regarding information circulating on social media, emphasizing the importance of relying solely on official channels and the marketplace itself for verified and guaranteed information.
