Kazakhstan's Tokayev prioritizes infrastructure, social projects in 2027-2029 budget

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has outlined key spending priorities for the national budget covering 2027 to 2029, emphasizing accelerated infrastructure development and social facility construction. The president presided over a meeting at the Akorda presidential palace where officials presented the current economic situation and socio-economic development forecasts.

During the discussions, Tokayev stressed the importance of achieving economic growth targets for the current year. He also highlighted the need for balanced national and local budgets. The meeting agenda included a briefing on the draft parameters for the upcoming national budget, signaling a focus on strategic financial planning.

A central theme of the meeting was the accelerated construction of essential facilities. President Tokayev identified hospitals, children's rehabilitation centers, and cultural and sports venues as key priorities for the 2027-2029 budget.
