Kazakhstan Weather Forecast: Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected in Several Regions

Kazakhstan's weather on August 25 will present a diverse picture across its regions. Astana is forecast to be partly cloudy and dry, with moderate northerly and northwesterly winds. Temperatures will range from 8-10°C at night to 24-26°C during the day.

Almaty, however, will experience partly cloudy skies with rain expected at night and light rain during the day, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms. Winds will be northwesterly at 3-8 m/s, gusting up to 18 m/s. The mountainous zones of the Ile Alatau mountains, including Medeu and Bostandyk districts, are bracing for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail, with strong northwesterly winds of 9-14 m/s, gusting to 18-23 m/s. Nighttime temperatures in these mountains will be between 5-10°C, dropping to 14-19°C during the day.

Further south, Shymkent will be partly cloudy and dry, with northeasterly winds of 8-13 m/s, and daytime gusts reaching 15-20 m/s. The temperature will be warm, with nighttime lows of 16-18°C and daytime highs of 31-33°C. Akmola Region anticipates rain and thunderstorms in its northern, southern, and eastern parts, with fog expected in the west, north, and east during the night and morning. Northerly and northwesterly winds will blow at 9-14 m/s, with temperatures ranging from 5-10°C at night to 23-28°C during the day.

Other regions will also see varied conditions. Zhetysu Region is set for rain and thunderstorms, including heavy rain and hail in mountainous areas, with strong winds gusting up to 28 m/s near Lake Alakol. Turkestan Region will remain dry, but with strong northeasterly winds and high temperatures reaching 34°C. Konaev and Almaty Region will experience rain and thunderstorms, particularly in mountainous and foothill areas, with strong winds and hail possible.
