Major stakeholders within Kebbi State's All Progressives Congress (APC) have publicly declared their "absolute confidence" in Governor Nasir Idris securing a second term in the 2027 governorship election. This strong endorsement stems from their assessment of his administration's accomplishments over the past two years.

Alhaji Abubakar Yelwa, Managing Director of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPADEC) and an APC stakeholder, articulated this support during a recent interaction with the Kebbi State Governor’s Media Team in Abuja. Yelwa described the governor's tenure as one marked by "unprecedented development" across diverse sectors of the state. He noted that individuals from various communities and sectors have visited Birnin Kebbi to commend the governor for transforming the state's socio-economic landscape.

Yelwa detailed several key achievements, including the consistent payment of scholarships and clearance of backlogs, the construction and renovation of educational facilities, and the settlement of outstanding pensions and gratuities. Furthermore, the administration has provided free agricultural inputs to farmers and undertaken significant construction and rehabilitation projects for hospitals and primary healthcare centers. Economic empowerment initiatives and welfare programs aimed at enhancing residents' living conditions were also highlighted as major successes.

These initiatives, Yelwa stated, have fostered a sense of gratitude among the populace, who are "eagerly waiting to reciprocate in 2027." Yelwa also mentioned HYPADEC's collaborative efforts with the Kebbi State Government, particularly in providing essential services like potable water and transportation to riverine communities.
