Kebbi Gov Approves N2.11bn for Gratuities of 772 Retirees, Families

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has sanctioned the release of N2.11 billion to settle gratuities and death benefits for 772 beneficiaries, signaling a strong commitment to the welfare of retired public servants and the families of deceased workers.

The approved sum, amounting to N2,110,403,965.83, is designated for payments accrued between September 16, 2025, and January 15, 2026. This disbursement includes retirees from state and contract positions, as well as those from Local Government Services and Local Government Education Authorities.

Disclosing the approval, the Head of Service, Malami Shakari, stated that the governor's decision aligns with the administration's pledge for the prompt payment of gratuities and other retirement entitlements. The beneficiaries will receive these payments, which also extend to the next of kin for deceased public servants eligible for death benefits.
