Keelung Adds Evening Express Bus Service to Aid Commuters

To better serve commuters, Keelung's 2088C express bus route will introduce an additional evening service starting August 3. The new trip is scheduled to depart from the Taipei City Hall Bus Station at 7:30 PM, providing a much-needed option for residents traveling back to the Badouzi area.

The 2088C route, which connects Keelung's Badouzi to the Taipei City Hall Bus Station, has seen high ridership since its launch. The city government, in coordination with legislative members and the Taipei City Motor Vehicles Supervision Office, successfully advocated for the extra service to alleviate overcrowding on existing trips.

This new 7:30 PM departure utilizes the Tai 62 Wanrui Expressway, allowing the bus to bypass congested city streets. By directly accessing National Freeway 1 from the Xiaodong Road interchange, the route significantly reduces travel time for passengers heading towards Keelung.

With this addition, the 2088C route will operate three weekday evening trips: 6:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and the newly added 7:30 PM. Keelung's Transportation Department continues to seek more flexible route rights and resources to enhance commuter services.
